Narrow squats for long femurs#1240

Hello! Have been really enjoying the app and the progressions so far, I’m about to hit my six month of following along this routine! I’m currently at the narrow squats progression and I have pretty long femurs, so I tend to go wide with my deep squats to avoid my femurs jutting into my pelvis. That of course isn’t an option for narrow squats though, so do you think squatting shoes to introduce a slight elevation would be effective? I otherwise have good ankle and hip mobility I’d say but my legs just run out of space when I squat low so I topple backwards 😅 Also how much should butt wink be a consideration when doing body weight squats, is it a problem or not really? Thanks!

Ayyy! Congrats on hitting six months! Thats a big deal! Ok so for narrow squats, squatting shoes with a slight heel elevation can help you squat deeper without toppling backward, especially with long femurs and good ankle and hip mobility. A slight butt wink in bodyweight squats isn’t usually a big deal, but focus on maintaining a neutral spine and strengthen your core to minimize it😎
