I know there are similar posts about this but i just wanna ask real quick, since i have a problem maintaining balance i realize i can kinda fix this by holding a 2.5kg plate in my hands and maybe not trying to go as deep as i could go below parallel cause my leg steps out back for me when i get up so i dont fall. So is holding a 2.5kg plate and doing “not as deep” narrow squats right around parallel to the ground okay and do they count?
Or…should i try to go as deep as i absolutely can, but everytime i have to get up i have to move my leg back to position, but i don’t know how this will work or affect my sets.
What do you think?

Also i have a dumbbell, what is better; to follow the hybrid routine and do narrow squats, or to do goblet squats perhaps?

I know this is the third time, but this will be the last time foreal.
I’ve just done my workout, and apart from bent over rows, bicep curls i did:
Narrov Squats - 3 sets of 20x
Form status: Lol, on some I could hold my balance on some my leg moved back and i had to reposition a lot, and cause of this i ended up doing them kinda fast which kinda sucks and they don’t feel too “worked out” so…I aslo did along with them:
Deep Squats - 2 sets of 30x, and my legs are shaking xd
Should i keep this up like this orrrr?

Hey Andrew. So you may be overthinking it a bit! 😁 If holding the 2.5kg plate helps you stay balanced, go for it. Stability is key, and slight counterbalance is a legit trick to improve form. As for depth, parallel is fine, but eventually, try to go deeper without compensating by stepping back—that means working on ankle mobility and core stability.
Between narrow squats vs. goblet squats, goblets are better if you’re struggling with balance and need more control, but if you’re sticking to bodyweight progressions, narrow squats are still solid. Since you’re already adding deep squats, you’re covering your bases. Keep doing both for now—narrow squats for skill and control, deep squats for full range and endurance. Your legs shaking means you’re hitting them right. Keep this up, and you’ll dial in that balance in no time but come back here if you still need some help! 😎

Yeah you may be right about the overthinking part, haha i can’t help it I just wanna do shit right 😅
But yeah I just wanted confirmation about it.
Thanks bro 💪

No worries! Better safe than sorry! 😁
