I am not young anymore 68. When i lay flat on the ground my head is off the ground.
I have seen myself on video and i walk hunched over. Is there anything i can do to correct this or at least keeping it from getting worse
Thanks
Hank

Heya, Chrys here—one of the trainers here at Hybrid! The head-off-the-floor sign means your upper back and chest have tightened while the deep neck and mid-back extensors have weakened. You can start reversing that pattern with a daily combo of gentle stretching and low-load strengthening.
When you lie on the floor, place a folded towel under your head just high enough to let your neck feel neutral; over a few weeks use progressively thinner layers so your head gradually settles closer to the ground without strain. During the day sit tall against a chair back and practice slow chin-tucks—draw your chin straight back as if making a double chin, hold for a breath, then relax; a dozen reps a couple times a day helps wake up those deep neck flexors.
Stand in a doorway, forearms on the frame, and ease your chest through for a light pec stretch, holding thirty seconds while breathing steadily; that opens the rounded shoulders. Finish with wall “angel” slides: lean your back and head against a wall, bring your elbows to ninety degrees, and slide your arms up and down while keeping contact—go only as high as you can without your head popping forward. Two slow sets of ten gives the upper-back muscles exactly the stimulus they need.
Do these drills most days, keep your computer or phone at eye level so you’re not jutting the chin, and you should notice easier standing and less hunch within a month. If any movement sparks pain beyond mild soreness, ease the range but otherwise steady, patient practice now will keep things from getting worse and may even win back a surprising amount of posture.
Thanks for the response i will get started on these
Thank you
Hank
