Hi, I’m planning to follow a routine where I do a hybrid calisthenics workout 3 days a week, add in 3 days of IWT (Interval Walking Training), and take 1 day for rest. Since I’m still a beginner in calisthenics, will this approach slow down my progress, or is it a good plan to start with?

Hey. This is Chrys, one of the trainers at Hybrid.
That’s actually a solid plan for starting out. Doing calisthenics three times a week gives you enough frequency to build strength, while still leaving recovery days in between. Adding interval walking on the off-days won’t slow your progress either. The only thing to watch is your overall energy and recovery. If you notice your calisthenics sessions start feeling flat or you’re too sore, you can always scale back the walking intensity or shorten those sessions. Lmk if this helps!
