Grip Strength routine#1673

Hello, Can I train for grip strength once a week and see results? I’d like to start following the grip strength routine in here but I can’t do it twice a week for now, can i improve grip strength training once a week or is it going to be basically the same as not training it at all?

Hey. This is Chrys, one of the trainers at Hybrid.

Yeah, you can definitely make progress training grip once a week—it’s not useless at all. Grip strength builds slower with lower frequency, but once-a-week sessions will still move the needle, especially if you’re consistent and train close to fatigue. The key is quality work: focus on heavy holds, hangs, or squeezes that really challenge you for 30–60 seconds per set. Over time, as your schedule opens up, you can bump it to twice a week for faster results, but once a week is still enough to see steady improvement and it’ll just take a little longer to notice.
