Tibiales raises#1686

?

In the video for squats in the hybrid calisthenics app has a part saying that if you have poor ankle mobility do some squat holds on a doorframe and elevated calf raises which I am doing but I saw some other videos from the YouTube channel adding in tibiales raises, my question is do I have to do the the tibiales raises or is it optional?

Hey. This is Chrys, one of the trainers at Hybrid.

Tibialis Anteriro raises are one of my favorites and helpful, but they’re optional. The squat holds and calf raises you’re already doing are the main fixes for ankle mobility. Tib raises just add extra support by strengthening the front of your lower leg, which can make your ankles feel more stable and improve range over time. (They also give you 3d calves if you care about aesthetics)If you’ve got the time and energy, throw them in. If not, you’re still on the right track without them.
