Lower back when doing core#1710

R

Is it ok that my core on my back is activated way more than my ab and front area as it does not seem to matter how much easier the exercise it my back side is always getting tired far faster is this a form issue or just something that will eventually even out with continued exercise

Hey. This is Chrys, one of the trainers at Hybrid.
That’s pretty common, especially early on. It usually means your back side is doing extra work to stabilize because your abs aren’t strong enough yet to fully take over. It’s not automatically a form problem, but it is a signal. Make sure you’re lightly bracing your core and keeping the movement slow and controlled. If your back is fatiguing way faster than your abs, the exercise is probably still a bit too hard, so scaling it down slightly is smart. As your core strength catches up, that imbalance usually evens out on its own.
