Assisted pull up help#1737

I don’t have the rings like in the video or even a pull up bar. Is there an alternative workout suggestion until I do get them?

You can create your gymnastic rings

Hey. Chrys here, one of the trainers at Hybrid. Yeah, you can still cover your pulls without rings or a bar for now.

If you have a sturdy table or desk, you can do inverted rows by lying under it and pulling your chest toward the edge. Even bending your knees to make it easier is fine. If that’s not an option, towel rows work well. Loop a towel around a door handle, lean back, and row yourself in while keeping your body tight. Just make sure the door is solid and locked.

If neither of those work, you can do band rows if you have bands, or even isometric pulls by gripping the towel or door handle and pulling as hard as you can for 10–20 seconds. That still trains your back and grip and keeps you balanced until you get proper equipment.

It’s not perfect, but it’s more than enough to maintain and even build some pulling strength so you’re not starting from zero once you get rings or a bar.
