Hello brother. I have a concern on knee pushups. Every push-up variation up from wall pushup maintains the same “straight line” heel to head postion. But in knee pushup, we need to change it. I am concerned as a beginner, I might change my form (built up on past three variations) when I start doing knee pushups. So will it be ok to use a still deeper incline, like a 6 inch high block, instead of knee pushups?
Cheers!
That’d be totally fine. The straight line shouldn’t change that much, since the only difference is the bend at the knees. However, using a deeper incline will work as well!
Does doing push up negatives is a better subtitute for knee push ups as a bridge to full push ups?
Not necessarily a better alternative, just a different one as focusing on slowing the eccentric phase of the movement (negatives) is working on time under tension, the most important principle in muscle growth
