Now there’s a closed post called level 3 standard Max #518 but I want to ask a clarifying question. What if I’m able to meet the 3rd rep standard for the first set but not the following ones? For instance I’m able to do the 3rd rep standard for full push-ups on set 1 but in the proceeding sets I’m no longer able to hit that 3rd rep standard. Should I go to failure for all sets including the first one to try and breach that barrier or should I limit my first set to the 3rd rep standards cap. I feel like the first set is almost wasted because I didn’t go to failure and that I’m progressing slower because I’m limiting myself.
